Which particular atrocity made Him reach for the phone this time,
call the bullpen and mutter:

Of course, the way legend tells us,
Pontius Pilate nailed his his point home,
and some lucky group of fans in the right field bleachers
had a souvenir forever.

had just hunched his shoulders up
and thrown him the high heater.
